A driver and passenger have been arrested after police seized suspected drugs, thousands of pounds in cash, suspected stolen trading cards and weapons during an operation in Leamington.
The arrest forms part of an ongoing investigation involving officers from the Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), Patrol Investigation Unit (PIU), Patrol Team and Dog Section.
During a vehicle stop, officers carried out a drugs search with the assistance of a police dog handler.
The search resulted in the seizure of 26 bottles of suspected promethazine codeine syrup, commonly known by the street name "lean" and 'considered a highly dangerous recreational drug cocktail', £4,710 in cash, suspected stolen trading cards with an estimated value of £2,000, and three mobile phones.

The driver was further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. A passenger was also arrested on suspicion of the same offence.
Further searches at associated addresses, carried out by the PIU, led to the recovery of a large quantity of cannabis, suspected drug supply paraphernalia, a knuckle duster and an extendable baton.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Leamington Police shared: "This result highlights the value of proactive policing and the close collaboration between teams to tackle organised criminality, driving offences linked to killed and seriously injured road traffic collisions, and ultimately keep our communities safe."
