Are you an Engineering Buyer seeking a new challenge within an award winning manufacturer? Join a market leader, based near the Warwick area, who manufacture bespoke automation machinery used within a range of sectors. They are passionate and dynamic, leading the drive for cutting edge technology within their market. This business has developed a culture that prides itself in being friendly, ambitious and boasting good length of tenure throughout the team. As Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and buying of goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company s operational needs are met.

Salary & Benefits:

  • C£45,000 to £50,000 basic + multiple additional bonuses.
  • 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + the opportunity to purchase an additional 5 days.
  • 7.5% pension.
  • WFH / Work From Home flexibility, in addition to flexible working hours.
  • Additional overtime is paid.

The Engineering Buyer job would suit:

  • Proven capability of strategically delivering deals within a manufacturing environment
  • Strategic and results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • MCIPS qualified (or working towards).
  • Skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and implement business improvements
  • Supplier management and development experience

The Engineering Buyer job involves:

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and suppliers in the procurement of goods, materials, components, and services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, sustain business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings.
  • Assess quotations and tenders from potential suppliers.
