Mechanical Assembly Technician

- Assemble mechanical systems and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes to maintain product quality.
- Inspect and test assemblies to ensure compliance with performance and quality standards.
- Identify and report any issues or discrepancies during the assembly process.
- Carry out troubleshooting, rework, and repair tasks when required.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies; participate in safety training and audits.
- Document assembly procedures and update records as needed.
- Suggest improvements and corrective actions for continuous process optimisation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
- Mechanical assembly
- Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems
- Working with diesel engines or transmissions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with standard measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Certification for operating cherry pickers and forklifts.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety practices.
- Experience working to quality and production standards.
