Job Advert: Mechanical Assembly Technician Location: Leamington Spa Contract Type: Temp to Perm Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum Recruitable Staffing Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician on behalf of our client, a leading UK-based manufacturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company renowned for its engineering expertise and innovation, with over 40 years of industry experience. Role Overview As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you ll play a key role in assembling, modifying, and fitting mechanical components and systems. Working as part of a collaborative team, you ll ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical systems and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes to maintain product quality.
  • Inspect and test assemblies to ensure compliance with performance and quality standards.
  • Identify and report any issues or discrepancies during the assembly process.
  • Carry out troubleshooting, rework, and repair tasks when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies; participate in safety training and audits.
  • Document assembly procedures and update records as needed.
  • Suggest improvements and corrective actions for continuous process optimisation.
Key Competencies and Experience Essential:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
    • Mechanical assembly
    • Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems
    • Working with diesel engines or transmissions
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with standard measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
Desirable:
  • Certification for operating cherry pickers and forklifts.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety practices.
  • Experience working to quality and production standards.
