Whitnash community 'deeply saddened and shocked' after break in at local church

The local community are "deeply saddened" by a break in at a Whitnash church, which caused "significant damage."
St Margaret's Church in the town was broken into on the Wednesday evening (15 July).
The church was left with"extensive damage throughout the building," "smashed windows" with the vestry ransacked.
Although no valuables were taken, a substantial amount of cash was stolen, along with donations given by the church's parishioners.

Rector of the church, Ben Cook took to Facebook to share the church and local community were all "deeply saddened and shocked" by the incident.
He said: "We would like to encourage everyone in our parish and wider community to remain vigilant.
"Sadly, this serves as a reminder that there are people willing to cause damage and commit theft, even in places that exist to serve others..."
