Here are our top picks for August:
1. Leamington & Warwick Mela
A community-led cultural festival is coming to Warwick and Leamington this August.
Leamington & Warwick Mela 2026 will celebrate the diversity of Warwick District through music, dance, food and activities.
The event is taking place at Leamington's Mill Gardens on Willes Road on 15 August from 12 noon to 8pm.
Organisers shared: "The Mela brings communities together in a shared public space, providing an inclusive and accessible cultural experience that reflects the district's diverse population.
"The programme combines high-quality, internationally recognised artists with local and emerging talent, and is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all, with a particular focus on families and young people"
The event will include a main performance stage, a curated selection of food and community stalls, and a range of activities.
Tickets can be bought online.

2. Bowls England National Championships
The Bowls England National Championships began this week (12 August) at a Leamington park.
Over the next few weeks, Leamington's Victoria Park will welcome competitors and visitors from across the country to one of England's premier bowls venues.
Spectators are welcome to come along and enjoy the action.
Those travelling to the event, should note that from 12 to 30 August, Archery Road, Victoria Street and Victoria Road will be accessible to residents only.

2. Free Family Discovery Walk
Join Sidney on her second short family friendly 30-minute free introduction to history.
From Jephson Gardens to the Town Hall, this gentle stroll introduces children and adults to some of our fascinating architecture and the history of some of the people who have helped shape the town.
The event is free to attend and takes place on 14 August from 2pm to 2.30pm.
