Warwickshire woman launches new venture to change the narrative on female fitness

A new Warwickshire-based business is challenging long-held assumptions about women's fitness - and it's doing so with strength, grace, and a deep understanding of women's lives.
Mettle & Grace, founded by local resident and former law enforcement officer Vix Hampshire, 46, is a bespoke PT offering created by a woman, for women.
With 26 years in policing and decades navigating male-dominated environments, Vix brings a unique combination of lived experience, empathy, and expertise to this mission-led venture.
Vix explained: "This isn't about bootcamps or bikini bodies.
"Mettle & Grace is for the women who feel overlooked by conventional fitness spaces—those balancing work, care, or the complexities of perimenopause.
"It's about reclaiming movement on your own terms."

Focused on supporting women from adolescence through to post-menopause, Mettle & Grace offers in-home personal training that's designed to be intelligent, inclusive, and accessible - meeting women where they are, both physically and emotionally.
The business made its public debut at Castle Hill Fest in Kenilworth over the Bank Holiday weekend, where Vix connected with local women ready to explore a different kind of strength.
"I'm not here to shout at anyone with a stopwatch," Vix added.
"I'm here to listen, to support, and to help women rediscover what their bodies—and their lives—are truly capable of."
