Warwickshire Police enforces dispersal order in Leamington town centre following disorderly conduct

In response to incidents of disorder and antisocial behaviour on Friday evening, (June 11), Warwickshire Police implemented a dispersal order in Leamington Town Centre.
This order encompasses areas around Parade, Bath Street, Jephson Gardens, and Pump Room Gardens, and will remain in effect until 3am on Monday, 14 July.
Police shared the designated map below, which outlines the areas covered by the order, granting police the authority to instruct individuals to vacate the premises if they are believed to be engaging in disorderly or antisocial behaviour.
Noncompliance may lead to arrest.

Following Friday night's disturbances, a 17-year-old male from Leamington was detained on suspicion of committing a public order offence and exhibiting drunken and disorderly conduct.
Inspector Jamie Cramp of Warwickshire Police sai: "We never take the decision to introduce a dispersal order lightly, but unfortunately, the behaviour we saw from a considerable group of people last night was completely unacceptable."
He continued: "We will have officers in the area tonight and we won't hesitate to use our powers to address any further issues and ensure the people of Leamington can go about their business without disruption."
Individuals who witnessed any antisocial behaviour in Leamington on Friday evening are encouraged to report it to an officer or by calling 101, or through the police website. In the event of an emergency, dial 999.
