The Fold in Leamington to host first-ever murder mystery night: 'Murder at the Speakeasy'
By Amy Bulsara 19th Mar 2026
A historic Warwickshire venue with a remarkable story of transformation.
The Fold in Leamington is set to host its very first immersive murder mystery evening this spring. Murder at the Speakeasy will take place on 9 May, inviting guests to step into a world of 1920s glamour, intrigue and deception.
Once a 19th-century church, The Fold stood empty for years before being brought back to life through an ambitious regeneration project. Today, it has been reimagined as a unique, events, co-working and studio space. Making it the perfect setting for an evening of mystery and theatrical storytelling.
In collaboration with Events From History, the venue will be transformed into a secret speakeasy. As jazz fills the air and drinks flow behind closed doors, the evening takes a dark turn when a shocking murder occurs. Every guest becomes part of the story, tasked with uncovering clues, questioning suspects, and deciding who can, and cannot, be trusted.
The event will take place on 9 May at 7.30pm at The Fold.
Tickets include a full evening of immersive entertainment, alongside delicious food from Guys Cliffe Catering & Events. Guests will enjoy:

A welcome drink (fizz, beer, or soft drink)
A generous grazing board and sharing dessert platter.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the roaring twenties by dressing in classic speakeasy style. Flapper dresses, sharp tailoring and vintage flair.
With its rich history, striking architecture and newly revitalised purpose, The Fold provides a distinctive backdrop for this interactive experience - blending heritage, hospitality, and entertainment in one unforgettable night.
Tickets can be bought for £60 per person (18+ only)
