SWFT to host community cycling event at three sites including Leamington Spa Hospital
By Nadia Sayed 9th Apr 2026
South Warwickshire Foundation Trust (SWTF) is set to host a one day community cycling challenge in support its NHS Charity,
The event will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026 between 8am and 8pm.
Static bikes will be set up at three of SWTF's hospital sites including Leamington Spa Hospital and Warwick Hospital.
This year the event also marks a special milestone for the SWFT Charity, which celebrates its 30th year of supporting local NHS services in South Warwickshire.
The third site will be at Stratford-upon-Avon Hospital.
Participants can also choose to take part at participating local gym sites.
Organisers said: "Join us for a day of movement, motivation, and making a difference!"
Riders are invited to take on the challenge by cycling on our bikes, choosing how long they will cycle for (with the minimum length of time to choose being 30 minutes) and to raise a minimum of £30.
The challenge is designed to be "inclusive and accessible, allowing participants of all abilities to get involved, whether you are a regular cyclist or completely new to it."
How It Works:
• Sign up to CYCLE for SWFT (free to register!)
• Choose where you'll take part (hospital site or participating gym). Make sure to select Hospital Registration if you would like to take part at one of the hospitals, or Gym Registration if you'd prefer to take part at a participating gym
• Decide how long you'll ride for
• Fundraise for SWFT Charity
• Turn up on the day and get cycling!
Why Take Part?
Funds raised through CYCLE for SWFT will help SWFT Charity enhance patient care and staff wellbeing across local NHS services, funding projects and vital equipment that go above and beyond NHS provision.
