Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. National Album Day celebrations

National Album Day returns this Saturday (18 October 2025).

This year's theme is celebrating Rock, following previous editions that, among other themes, have focused on the albums of the 90s, Women in Music, Debut Albums and, just last year, Great British Groups.

Visit Head Records inside The Royal Priors Shopping Centre for more information and exclusive releases.

2. Run Club with Sculpt

Hate running alone? Then why not try a running club where you can run in solitary?

Sculpt in Leamington will be hosting a weekly Run Club starting this Thursday (16 October) from 5.30 to 7.30pm.

Organisers said: "Science backs what every runner knows first hand: the discipline sharpens focus, lifts your mood, and lowers stress.

"But discipline can be tough to sustain on your own—and that's where community makes all the difference.

"Sculpt Run Club transforms running from a solitary grind into a shared movement. When you run with others, excuses fade, momentum builds, and resilience grows.

"Side by side, we push further, keep each other accountable, and celebrate progress that consistency makes possible. Every stride isn't just about covering ground—it's about building strength in body and mind, and proving to yourself that growth is best achieved together."

Attendees can expect over 90 stalls selling a variety of goods, including local produce, arts and crafts and street food.

There will also be entertainment, kids' rides and even a mini petting zoo in the first week of the markets!

Organisers said: " Leamington Autumn Markets are back — and we couldn't be more excited!

"With over 90 incredible traders, there's so much to discover — from unique arts and crafts , delicious local produce , to mouthwatering street food. There's truly something for everyone!

"Stroll through the vibrant stalls, soak up the autumn vibes , and enjoy a day filled with community spirit, creativity, and local flavour.

"Mark your calendars, bring your friends and family, and let's celebrate the season together — while showing some love to our amazing local businesses."

4. Turn Leamington Pink for Cancer Research UK

Shop windows, salons, and streets across Leamington and Warwick are glowing pink for Cancer Research UK, this week.

It comes as part of the community-led awareness campaign, Turn Leamington and Warwick Pink, which runs until 19 October and is being driven by a passionate group of volunteers at Warwick and Leamington Spa Cancer Research UK committee.

Chair of the Leamington Spa and Warwick Cancer Research UK Committee, Deborah Barleggs expressed: "The idea is, businesses and retailers across the towns can decorate their premises, their offices, their buildings, and really focus on pink merchandise if they like."

There's still time to experience the pink takeover and support fundraising efforts.

For those who haven't yet visited the towns, there's still time to experience the pink takeover and support fundraising efforts for Cancer Research UK.

"If you can't get into town during the week, come on Saturday or Sunday," Deborah said.

"We've got a craft fair in the Royal Priors, and a fantastic choir performing at midday on Saturday (18 October)."

5. Warwick Mop fair returns

Nearby in Warwick, the Mop fair is back.

The historic event returns to the town centre on Friday 17 October and Saturday 18.

The runaway mop will then be held the following weekend.

The annual event, which is said to date back to the reign of Edward III, is hosted on the Friday and Saturday, with the 'Runaway Mop' held the following Friday and Saturday (24 to 25).

On both weekends the fair will take over Market Place and the rest of the town centre as stalls and a fun fayre descend on the town.

Roads will be closed over both weekends - more details to follow.

Due to Warwick Mop taking place this weekend there will be no Warwick market (image supplied)
