Excitement builds as Leamington readies for an even bigger Eurovision festival return
Local market provider and big Eurovision fans, CJ's Events Warwickshire, is hosting the Eurovision festival for another year.
The all-day community event will take place on Saturday, 17 May at the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington Spa, CV32 4AA.
The festival is open to all and will celebrate the start of summer and all things Eurovision.
This year, the market will open from 11 am, lasting until 6 pm, street food and bars open from 11 am until midnight, and the free live screening of the Eurovision Song Contest will begin at 7 pm.
Last year, the festival saw a turnout of 8,000 people for the market in the day, with over 2000 'true' Eurovision fans staying for the full show, fuelled by 'a bevy of local food and drink vendors.'
This year is set to be even bigger.
Jamie Walker from CJ's Events Warwickshire said: "This is one of our favourite events.
"Alongside our normal markets, this is where we really get to celebrate our local community and host them for a day of fun.
"We are so excited to be welcoming you all once again."
So what can attendees expect?
During the day, there's plenty to do, see, eat, drink and buy at the market, and our huge stage will host live performances to get the party started.
Guests are invited to attend and 'get in the mood' for the show or stay right through to the main event.
Eurovision fans can enjoy the show on a whopping great 46 square metre screen along with street food and drink vendors open through the night, keeping festival-goers sustained until the final votes come in.
Sponsoring this year's event is Leamington design agency, PO'Sh Creative.
Creative Director Jan Patalong said: "We attended last year's event as a family and absolutely loved it, so as CJ's Events' design and marketing agency, we jumped at the chance to help them bring this celebration to life.
"Our agency motto is 'Good Things Happen', and what better way to make good things happen than supporting an event that's all about bringing our community together and having a great time while we're at it.
"We'll be there with flags and feather boas."
PO'Sh Creative has designed and built a bespoke online scorecard so attendees can score each performance throughout the show.
