List of Leamington pubs showing England’s game against Mexico this Monday morning
By Nadia Sayed 4th Jul 2026
Several pubs and venues across Leamington will be staying open until the early hours on Monday morning (July 6) to show England's World Cup clash against Mexico.
The Three Lions' round of 16 fixture at the Azteca Stadium will kick off at 1am, and Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer has agreed to allow all pubs to stay open until 5am - even if they missed out on a temporary event notice.
Here are a few of the pub's in Leamington which have confirmed they are showing the game are:
- The White Horse
- The New Bulldog
- The Hod Carrier
- The Bowling Green
- The Old Library
- The Cricketers Arms
- Fizzy Moon
The Hod Carrier in Whitnash is especially pleased to be able to show the game, after blasting the "absolutely ridiculous" news that it would not be able to show England's round of 16 game, prior to Starmer's recent agreement to keep the pubs open.
Taking to Facebook the pub shared: "I want to thank so many people
"Matt Western who sent my info to parliament, Adrian Barton who picked up the phone on my first day or hearing or late licence being late and made relevant calls
"Also the hundreds of people that shared my post, the 1000s that made comments and got people talking."
It went on to thank news outlets, including Nub News for sharing the post.
"So many will take credit for all this change, in all honesty everyone that had their say made a difference..."
Other venues have also advised booking in advance.

Nub News contacted pubs across the town to ask whether they would be staying open for the game.
