A Leamington-based financial firm has raised over £1000 for charity through participating in Warwick's annual Dragon Boat Race.

Simpson Financial Services (SFS), which is based in Leamington, raised an impressive £1,155 for Myton Hospice and Birmingham children's hospital.

Members of the firm took to water in a team, Splash 'n' Cash last week.

Organised by The Rotary Club of Warwick Avon, this year's boat race took place at St Nicholas' Park on Saturday 19 September.

Ahead of the event, the team shared: "This September we're grabbing our oars and hitting the river to race other local businesses and groups in the annual Warwick Dragon Boat Race.

"Our goal? To win - obviously. But also to raise a load of money for Myton Hospice and Birmingham Children's Hospital."
