1.Off the Rails Festival returns 

Nub News sponsor, the Windmill Hill Brewery and Taproom, is one of the businesses behind the Off The Rails Festival this weekend.

The Off the Rails festival is back on Sunday, 4 May and will take place under the arches at the Victoria Business Centre on Neilston Street, in Leamington Spa. 

Local independent businesses will come together this weekend for a day of fun, food, drinks and music.

Hosted by the Warwickshire Gin Company, Windmill Hill Brewery, Brubl Brewery and the Southbound Café bar, the event will run from 1pm until 10pm on Sunday, 4 May.

Organisers wrote: "Don't miss out on the action - mark your calendars and get ready to go Off the Rails!"

2. Beacon Lighting to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day 

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Warwick District Council has organised a lighting of beacons at Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa on 8 May.

The event is free to attend and will run from 19.30pm to 22.00pm

VE Day, Victory in Europe, marked the end of the World War II conflict in Europe.

Refreshments will also be available to purchase ,including pizza, coffee and cake, from 7.30pm, along with music from 8.30pm and speeches from 9.20pm.

The beacon lighting will commence at 9.30pm

As it will be dark at the time of lighting the beacon, guests are asked to bring a torch or other adequate lighting.

3.Comedy Club at The House

If comedy is your thing, don't miss out on The House's Comedy night on 6 May as part of its weekly comedy club.

The comedy night will run from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm at The House on 130 The Parade in Leamington Spa.

Organisers said: "Bring your friends, share the joy, and immerse yourself in the laughter that echoes through the walls of The House every week.
