The return of Off the Rails follows the first instalment, which took place earlier this year, in May.

2. Aviva National Bowls Finals 2025 continue

The Aviva National Bowls Finals 2025 have begun.

The event started on  Wednesday, 13 August and will run until Sunday 31 August, at Victoria Park in Leamington Spa, described as the "home of Lawn Bowls."

Organisers said: "For bowlers across the nation, the dream is to make it to Victoria Park.

"It's the culmination of countless hours, as competitors fight their way through local and regional rounds for the chance to etch their names into history as national champions.

"With matches played across five greens and 30 rinks, every day offers a thrilling array of matches and competitions, from singles to team events, from young to old, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.

"Whether you're a seasoned bowler, a passionate supporter, or a newcomer eager to experience the sport, the Festival of Bowls is a must-attend spectacle. Plus, with plenty of off-the-green activities, food, and refreshments, it's a perfect day out for families and fans alike."
