Following severe flooding under the bridge on Princes Drive in Leamington, the road is scheduled to reopen at approximately 1pm today (18 November).

The flooding, caused by Storm Claudia, resulted in a buildup of water beneath the bridge.

This led to vehicles blocking the road.

Warwickshire County Council has today confirmed that the issue causing the obstruction has been identified.

Workers are currently completing the "necessary safety checks and clean-up" to enable the reopening of the road.

The council expressed its gratitude to motorists for their patience during this time.
