Road closures on busy commuter road near Southam delayed
By Nadia Sayed 6th Nov 2026
Closures on a busy commuter road near Southam have been delayed following 'complications with other work in the area,' says HS2.
A section of the A425 Leamington Road, near Dallas Burston Polo Club, will now close a week later than initially planned, with multiple contingency closures also announced.
The new closure will take place from around midnight on Monday, 16 November, until 6pm on Monday, 14 December 2026.
The initial works were scheduled to begin on Monday, 9 November, and were set to finish on Sunday, 6 December.
The road closure will still be in place 24/7 and comes as a result of work being carried out on the reinstatement of the road.
Several contingency closure dates have also been announced as part of the change, including Saturday 30 to Sunday 31 January and Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 February.
Motorists are warned to expect increased levels of construction activity and some travel disruption.
There will be a fully signed diversion in place.
