By Nadia Sayed 19th May 2026
Train services in Leamington are set to be hit by a two day strike this weekend.
On Friday 22 May and Saturday 23 May there will be a very limited service in operation on the WMR network due to strike action by members of the TSSA trade union.
Services on both dates will operate to a reduced timetable with no trains running after 7pm on Friday and a later 7am start of service on Saturday.
No trains will run on any other WMR route, including all routes via Birmingham Snow Hill, the Camp Hill Line, Shrewsbury Line, Hereford Line, and between Nuneaton and Leamington Spa.
Routes with a limited service on Friday 22 May and Saturday 23 May include:
- Cross City Line (Lichfield Trent Valley – Redditch / Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street) – two trains per hour
- Wolverhampton – Walsall via Birmingham New Street – one train per hour
- Rugeley Trent Valley – Birmingham International via Birmingham New Street – one train per hour
Journey planners are not yet updated but are set be updated in advance of the action taking place.
