Drugs and paraphernalia have been recovered by Police during knife sweeps across South Leamington.

The sweeps come as part of a nationwide initiative to tackle knife crime, known as Operation Sceptre.

Leamington Police carried out knife sweeps across South Leamington alongside the Community Wardens, visiting Eagle Recreation Ground, Redlands Park, and Wych Elm Park yesterday (18 November).

Whilst no knives were found, Police did discover drug paraphernalia and drugs from the parks.

All items have been safely booked in and will be destroyed.

Leamington Police shared: "If you have any concerns or information, please contact us or report to us by contacting 999 in an emergency or 101 in non-emergencies, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers."
