By Nadia Sayed 19th May 2026
A man has been arrested for failing to appear at court in relation to carrying a bladed item in a public place without a 'good reason or legal permission.'
It comes after local PCSOs and officers were called to the Pump Rooms area in Leamington, to assist with a man who was reported to be quite agitated and distressed, yesterday afternoon (18 May).
The man has since been arrested and is now in custody awaiting court.
This incident comes during Police's Week of Action in support of behindeveryblade for Op Sceptre, a knife crime campaign aimed at tackling knife crime and raising awareness of the dangers associated with carrying knives.
Throughout the week, residents may see increased patrols and engagement activity across the local area.
