A chain restaurant in Leamington has submitted an application to update its signage.

Pizza Express, located on Parade, has applied for consent to make several changes to its Grade II listed premises, all of which are signage and decorative updates.

The proposals include four sets of non-illuminated text to replace the existing signage, and two non-illuminated roundels (showing the Pizza Express logo) to replace the existing roundels, one internally illuminated menu box to replace the current version and one set of gold vinyl text over the entrance glazing.

Also for the fascias behind the logo to be repainted black along with the window frames.

A separate application for advertisement consent has also been submitted and is awaiting validation.

In the planning documents, the applicant stated: "Because the building is being upgraded with signage that already exists and has been for several years, we foresee no detrimental impact on the building with regards to our undertaking the above works.
