Local residents are growing frustrated after a lack of safe drop-off facilities at a Leamington primary school has led to parents parking on residential streets, private roads and private driveways.

A petition has been launched to address the issue, with concerns cited over the current parking situation at Radford Semele C Of E Primary School on School Lane.

Launched by Lisa-Marie Kwasnik, the petition was opened on 13 February 2026 and has been signed 17 times so far.

It states: "We {would} like the council to take action to provide safe drop-off facilities for parents and carers.

"At present, there are no dedicated parking spaces close to the school for parents. Parents are able to park in a pub car park approximately 0.2 miles away, and while some make use of this option, it does not provide enough capacity for the number of families arriving at drop-off and pick-up times.

"Because of this lack of suitable parking, many parents park on nearby residential streets, private roads and private driveways which has caused ongoing issues for local residents."

The petition goes on to address that some of these roads are privately maintained by homeowners who pay for parking spaces and rely on them to access their homes.

The petition will run until 24 June 2026.
