Fireworks night at The Newbold Comyn Arms in Leamington has been cancelled.

Organisers said they are "heartbroken" to announce its fireworks night has been called off due to "circumstances beyond our control with the council."

The event was scheduled for this Sunday (2 November).

"We know how much everyone looks forward to this event each year, and we're truly gutted to share this news.

"But don't worry, we'll be bringing back the festive spirit soon!"

However the team at Newbold Comyn Arms said it will be hosting a Christmas Carols event on Thursday 18 December.

"We can't wait to celebrate the season together with music, lights, and community cheer."
