A new doctor-led medical service has officially opened at a long-established Leamington clinic.

The Mayor of Royal Leamington Spa, Cllr Sarah Boad, officially opened Eve Clinics' new medical services on Friday, 30 October, cutting the ribbon at the Regent Street clinic in front of distinguished guests and the clinic's expert team.

Eve Clinics has been part of Regent Street for many years as an aesthetic and medical laser clinic. It is now registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide doctor-led medical care.

Florina Lewthwaite, co-founder and clinic director, has more than 25 years' experience in medical aesthetic lasers.

Speaking at the launch she shared : "Our journey began back in 2018 with a deep root in advanced aesthetic laser treatments, and we have proudly been a part of the Leamington community since 2020. But today marks a monumental evolution for us.

"We are here to celebrate our official Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration.

"With this milestone, Eve Clinics officially becomes Leamington Spa's very first doctor-led facility dedicated to longevity, cellular regeneration and preventive medicine. As the clinic director, I am privileged to lead an exceptional team of specialised medical doctors who are pioneering the future of proactive health and wellness right here on our high street."

Patients in Leamington and across Warwickshire can now see a specialist in the town centre for:

• longevity and preventive medicine

• menopause and andropause (male hormone health)

• weight loss management

• tiredness and iron deficiency, with blood tests and specialist haematology

• skin lesion assessment and removal of suspicious moles and skin lesions, including basal cell carcinoma (BCC)

• minor surgical procedures and scar management

The clinic also has a practice on London's Harley Street, internationally renowned as a centre of excellence for private medicine.

Lucien Bartram, co-founder and chief executive, added: "Becoming a CQC-registered provider is a big step for Eve Clinics. Patient safety has guided every decision we have made, from our clinical governance and systems to the doctors we have brought into the team, and we are proud to offer this care in the heart of Leamington."

The clinical team includes: Mr Richard Viney, urology surgeon and the clinic's medical lead, Dr Matt George, GP and cosmetic doctor; Dr Iman Qureshi, consultant haematologist; Dr Chitra Sundaramahalingam, private GP and lifestyle medicine specialist, Dr Fathema Begum, dental surgeon, who also provides facial aesthetic injectables.

The launch evening brought together healthcare professionals, local businesses and community groups. Guests had a chance to see the newly refurbished three-storey clinic and meet the doctors.

Mr Richard Viney, urology surgeon and medical lead, said: "Many men wait a long time for answers on hormone changes or intimate health concerns, often because they feel awkward asking.
