MP for Warwick and Leamington, Matt Western, has shared his reflection on the COVID-19 Day of Reflection, which was marked yesterday (9 March).

Mr Western took to Facebook to share that he was "thinking of all those who lost loved ones during those dark days."

He went on to comment: "It is almost six years since our country, and the world, locked down in the face of the virus and endured some of the strangest days of our times.

"Our communities came together to look after one another, but I know how difficult these days were for so many with many still bearing the scars.

"I remain keen to recognise those we lost and the difficulties so many faced during the period. I'll soon share my thoughts on how we could do this."

He went on to state he was thinking of all those who lost love ones.
