Meet Leamington Police's beat manager for the town centre

As part of its #SaferStreetsSummer campaign, Leamington Police is introducing its town centre officers to the public.
Today, PC Sarah Morton, beat manager for Leamington town centre and a member of the Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team, was introduced.
PC Morton has been a town centre officer for almost four years, where she has built up personal relationships with the local community,
She shared:"In Leamington town centre, you get a really good mix of locals, businesses and people visiting the town.
"On top of this you've got what is probably the most thriving night-time economy in the county, with many people travelling into Leamington for a night out.
"It's a challenging mix that means no two days are the same.
"We get quite a few reports of antisocial behaviour and shoplifting but being in neighbourhood policing gives me the opportunity to work with the local community and local businesses to find realistic and sustainable solutions to such ongoing challenges."
She further explained the Parade and parks are a main focal point of Leamington town centre, in terms of areas to monitor for officers, however, she tries her best to visit "places a bit more off the beaten track, so they don't feel neglected," which helps provide intelligence that helps officers tackle local issues.
"It's a great job and I can genuinely say I love doing my bit to make Leamington a nice place to live, work and visit" said PC Morton.
