As the festive season approaches, I would like to extend my warmest holiday wishes to everyone in our community.
This time of year, offers a chance to reflect on the months behind us and to celebrate all the wonderful events that have taken place. Now, nearly halfway through my term as Mayor, I have witnessed first hand the dedication and care that makes Royal Leamington Spa such a special place to live, work and visit.
It has been an honour to attend a wide range of events during my term so far, each one providing a glimpse into what keeps our town thriving. From community celebrations such as Diwali and the Christmas lights switch-on to fundraisers, Remembrance Day services, and accepting awards like Leamington in Bloom on behalf of the town, I have met many inspiring individuals and felt incredibly proud to be part of this community.
My nominated charity for my mayoral year is the local organisation YOU CAN FLOURISH, which supports and empowers young girls. I look forward to seeing the funds raised make a meaningful difference to young people in our town.
This year has not been easy for everyone. Some have experienced joy, while others have faced loss or challenges with their health. May this Christmas bring comfort, kindness, and peace to all our residents and visitors alike. As we look ahead to 2026, I hope it will be a year filled with happiness and hope.
Finally, I would like to thank the many volunteers across our town who give their time so generously, helping others feel supported and connected during this special time of year.
On behalf of Royal Leamington Spa Town Council, I wish all residents a peaceful and joyful festive period.
