A man has died after an incident on the A46 yesterday (November 11).

The man was found injured on the dual carriageway near Kenilworth, where police gave him CPR.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from The Air Ambulance Service responded at around 9.22pm, but the man died at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Ambulance staff arrived to find police administering CPR to the injured man.

"Crews quickly took over resuscitation efforts but sadly nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased on scene a short time later."

The A46 was closed in both directions between Kenilworth and Stoneleigh while emergency services attended the scene.
