A family-owned food chaon serving Asian fusion food has applied for permission to provide late-night refreshments until 4am daily.

An application has been submitted for Oodles Wok, located on Warwick Street, seeking a premises licence.

The application, made by W&K Foods Co Ltd trading as Oodles Wok, proposes operating hours from 11am to 4am Monday through Sunday.

The business has said it does not intend to sell alcohol as part of the application, stating that the premises operates solely as a food outlet.

In the operating schedule, the applicant says there have been no incidents at the premises to date, but staff will remain vigilant during late-night hours.

The company also states that noise levels are expected to remain minimal because no music is played on site and alcohol is not sold at the premises.

The application says the business plans to promote its trading hours through head office marketing, leafleting and delivery platforms including Uber Eats and Just Eat.

If approved, the licence would formally permit the premises to continue serving hot food and drink until 4am throughout the week.
