Royal Leamington Spa Town Council is looking to recruit a Mayor's Chauffeur / Attendant to work within its staff team.

The position is part-time, averaging 23 hours per week, including significant evening and weekend working.

The successful candidate will be required to drive the mayor's car and take the mayor and consort to and from a wide range of engagements.

They will also be required to support and assist the mayor in their civic duties, ensuring that he/she arrives in good time and prepared to represent the town and town council effectively.

Events and engagements are largely within Leamington Spa, with occasional travel to neighbouring areas.

The post holder will also be required to assist the Town Council team at relevant events, including acting as Macebearer at some civic events, such as Remembrance Sunday and the annual mayor-making meeting.

The individual should be punctual, courteous and discreet; the Mayor's Chauffeur plays an important and visible role for the Town Council.

A full, clean driving licence is required, along with the ability to plan suitable routes to engagements.
