A total of 23 vehicles were stopped by Leamington Police last night (18 December).

The stops came as officers from Leamington SNT conducted an operation targeting drink drivers in the town.

Five breath tests and one drug test were also taken, with all tests coming back as negative.

One driver was issued a ticket to produce his drivers licence at the police station with another getting a ticket for driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

As a result the driver's vehicle was seized.

Leamington Police shared: "Christmas time tends to see an increase in drink driving type offences, but remember festive cheer doesn't belong behind the wheel. Drive safe, drive insured, and keep your licence – and your loved ones – intact."
