Leamington Police address youth disruption at Newbold Comyn bike track
By Nadia Sayed 9th Apr 2026
Officers at Leamington Police have responded to reports of a small group of youths causing disruption and damage at the Newbold Comyn bike track in the town.
This took place yesterday afternoon (8 April) and saw officers catch up with the group, after 'briefly commandeering some bikes from Mercia Cycles.'
Thanks to the support of responsible young people using the track appropriately, along with assistance from the bike shop staff, officers were able to quickly locate and deal with the three individuals involved.
They will now be dealt with through an out of court disposal.

Leamington Police said: "We'd like to highlight the fantastic attitude shown by the majority of young people at the track today. The bike facility at Newbold Comyn is a brilliant space for the community, and it's great to see so many using it safely, respectfully, and making the most of what's on offer.
"While a small minority chose to make poor decisions, it was reassuring to see the overwhelming majority behaving positively and even helping officers when needed. That kind of community spirit makes a real difference."
Leamington Police further shared it will continue to carry out regular patrols in the area and will be actively monitoring the bike track to ensure it "remains a safe, welcoming space for everyone who wants to use it properly."
