Leamington play area to shut so new equipment can be installed

Works to install a new play area at Mill Gardens in Leamington Spa are set to begin, Warwick District Council has confirmed.
The play area will close later this month and will not reopen until the new installation is completed, tested and ready for use.
"Extensive works" will see the drainage improved, new equipment installed, enhanced safety surfacing fitted and additional provision for access needs.
Designs have used feedback from Evergreen School.
A council statement said: "Designed with feedback from Evergreen School and in partnership with play design experts, incorporating new equipment for all ages from tots to teens, the new areas will bring the community a new play experience to aid learning, social mobility and inclusivity."
