Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Soft play area closes
A soft play centre located in a Leamington shopping centre has closed.
The free facilities at the Royal Priors officially closed yesterday (24 June).
Sharing the 'disappointing' news on its Facebook page, the centre shared: "We know that the soft play has been a popular and much-loved feature for many families visiting Royal Priors.
"It has provided a space for children to play and enjoy themselves while parents and carers spent time in the Centre, and we are grateful to everyone who has made use of it."
Have your say on parking problems
The council is asking for local feedback on parking problems around a number of residential streets in Heathcote.
Warwickshire County Council said residents of Coriolanus Square and the adjacent roads have complained about anti-social parking from users of the local health centre, rehabilitation hospital and shops.
Now, the local authority wants to know how much of an issue it is for locals, and whether it should take direct action.
Residents have until July 13 to have their say.
New homes in Whitnash approved
Nine new homes have been approved for Whitnash.
Planning permission was granted for the demolition of existing commercial buildings at on Heathcote Road and for them to be changed to residential homes.
Castle Homes Estates Ltd submitted the application back in 2024 with plans to remodel the existing homes will include extensions.
The new homes will consist of four, three bedroom, two storey homes, four two-bedroom homes, and one one bedroom flat over a garage unit.
