Locals are being invited to get creative this November as the Leamington Christmas Tree Festival launches a series of free Christmas decoration workshops across Leamington.

Under the banner Make, Take & Share, the workshops will give children, families and adults the chance to make colourful Christmas decorations using recycled and upcycled materials, with help and inspiration from local artist Nicci Selby.

The idea is simple: make a decoration for the festival's special Community Trees, create something to take home, and help bring a little extra Christmas magic to Leamington.

The decorations will take pride of place at the Leamington Christmas Tree Festival, which returns to All Saints' Church from 28 November to 6 December, alongside around 60 Christmas trees decorated by local schools, charities, businesses and community organisations.

The workshops are free, with all materials provided and no pre-booking is required.

Workshop dates and venues

• Thursday 5 November 9.30-11.30am – Brunswick Hub
• Saturday 7 November, 11am–1pm – The SYDNI Centre
• Saturday 14 November, 10am–12pm – Leamington Library
• Saturday 14 November, 2pm–4pm – Leamington Library
• Saturday 21 November, 10am–12pm – Lillington Library

Local artist Nicci Selby, who will be leading the creative activities, said: "Christmas is a wonderful excuse to get creative! These workshops are all about having fun, trying something new and discovering what you can make from everyday materials. You don't need any special skills, just come along, have a go and enjoy making something that will become part of a much bigger community celebration."

The workshops have been made possible with funding from Royal Leamington Spa Town Council, with support from Art Friends Warwickshire, working alongside local community venues and Warwickshire Libraries.

Leamington Tree Festival runs from Saturday 28 November to Sunday 6 December 2026 at All Saints' Church.
