The local community gathered in Leamington for the town's Bloom Partnership initiative.

The event, which took place yesterday (Tuesday 16 June) at Packington Place Pocket Park, brought together residents and partners for a community planting session designed to improve a shared green space and make the local environment more welcoming for everyone.

Children from Clapham Terrace Primary School collaborated with residents from Sycamores Care Home in a hands on effort to enhance the area while building connections between generations.

The event was a brilliant example of people of all ages coming together in a way that makes a real difference, not only to the space itself, but also to how connected and proud people feel about their community.

The planting carried out on the day is expected to brighten the area for residents and passersby alike.

The initiative forms part of ongoing work by the Leamington in Bloom Partnership, supported by Royal Leamington Spa Town Council. The project encourages community involvement, making green spaces cleaner, brighter and more enjoyable for all.

Preparation has already begun ahead of Leamington's entry into the Heart of England in Bloom competition, which will see judges visit green spaces across Leamington.
