A family-run gift shop in Leamington is celebrating 25 years of the business.

Planet Bong, which has stores at three different locations, including Leamington, is celebrating two and a half decades in the town.

Taking to Facebook the store shared: "We are officially celebrating 25 years this year of being part of the wonderful Royal Leamington Spa community!

"Over nearly 25 years, Planet Bong has been a true family-run adventure. To say we've seen it all is an understatement! We have ridden the waves of retail, surviving the highest ups and the toughest downs. We've watched competitors come and go, and seen other shops try to copy our vibe—but they could never copy the heart of what we do.From princess costumes to coffee, quirky homewares to beautiful crystals, hair dye, incense, quad bikes and absolutely everything in between—if you can name it, we've probably sold it! "

The team also shared an apology, addressing issues many local businesses in the town have also faced, including struggles with cash flow and rising bills: "If you've been in recently and noticed a lack of stock on our shelves, this is why. We are trying our absolute hardest to get through this rocky patch, and we appreciate your patience more than you know."

"To our original customers who remember our very first day, and to the brand-new faces who just discovered us: THANK YOU. You are the reason our doors are still open after nearly 25 years.

"Leamington Spa is a beautiful town, but local, family-run indie shops need your love now more than ever.

"We ask you to please keep choosing to shop in town, support your local high street, and help independent businesses wherever you can. Every single purchase makes a difference to our family.
