The Leamington-based Thomas Flavell & Sons Solicitors has announced the launch of its brand-new Employment Law department, providing expert support and guidance to both individuals and businesses.

Leading the team is Ruby Rai, an accomplished employment solicitor with over 17 years of experience advising on workplace issues.

Ruby Rai joins TFS as Head of Employment, bringing a wealth of experience across strategic advice, complex settlement agreements, corporate support, and executive exit strategies.

Recognised as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500 in both 2022 and 2026, Ruby is committed to helping clients find practical, forward-looking solutions to workplace challenges.

Ruby expressed: "I am so pleased to be part of the team at TFS at this incredibly exciting time.

"TFS has worked hard to gain an impeccable record for delivering a great service to their clients, reflected in their 4.9 out of 5 Review Solicitors score. I am looking forward to building on this strong foundation and implementing a wider Employment Law offering for all our clients, supporting our local communities in Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

"We plan to deliver a full remit of services, training, and networking opportunities, and I bring the experience, enthusiasm, and ability to make this a success."

The new department will provide a comprehensive range of services for both employees and employers:

  • For Employees: Advice on dismissals, discrimination, disciplinary action, grievances, and settlement agreements, including support for senior executives on exit strategies and negotiations.
  • For Businesses: Drafting of employment contracts, consultancy and service agreements, and staff handbooks, alongside guidance on settlement agreements, policies, procedures, redundancy, restructuring, and day-to-day HR concerns through a Retainer Service.

Ruby Rai will be based at TFS's Leamington Spa office but will be providing support to businesses and individuals throughout Warwickshire, Leicestershire and beyond. She is committed to ensuring the department delivers practical, effective, and tailored solutions for clients.

Jamie Connolly, Managing Director at Thomas Flavell & Sons added: "Ruby's appointment marks an exciting step for TFS. With her expertise and practical approach, we can help both individuals and businesses navigate employment law with confidence and clarity."

Ruby will be talking about the Employment Rights Bill, and what it means for your business at the next Thomas Flavell & Sons Networking Breakfast event on Wednesday 5 November.
