A community-led organisation based in Leamington Spa, has announced that ambulances numbered 59, 60, and 61 have safely arrived in Ukraine with Christmas gifts and medical supplies.

Belveder, is dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals locally and delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Since the start of its work, it have sent over 60 ambulances and specialist vehicles to help save lives and support frontline medical needs.

This time, the vehicles, generously funded by LKQ Euro Car Parts, Gursewak Trust, and the Warwickshire Freemasons, were filled with Christmas gifts for children from refugee families and orphans, as well as vital medical supplies provided by Ukraine Medical Charity. 

Harnek Singh said: "It was a great adventure, but above all, it felt meaningful to have done something to make a real difference. It was humbling to meet the soldiers who travelled from the front line to meet us."

The gifts and medical supplies will be distributed by the Sisters of St. Joseph, reaching children in orphanages and elderly residents in care homes, bringing support, relief, and joy to the most vulnerable during the Christmas season.

Belveder extended its gratitude to the following organisations for their contributions:

• Leamington History Group, Kenilworth Lions and Lifestyle Gift Cards – for donating several hundred chocolate gifts
• Boden – for their generous donation of five boxes of new children's clothing
• Rotary Club of Warwick, England – for their generous £500 contribution

The Belveder team further shared a heartfelt thank you goes to its volunteer drivers, who dedicated their time and effort to transport the ambulances. In Leżajsk, eastern Poland, the drivers met with officers of the Ukrainian army, who received the vehicles and promptly set off for eastern Ukraine, where they will be used to save lives as quickly as possible.

These deliveries would not have been possible without the incredible generosity and commitment of Belveder partners, donors, and volunteers. Every contribution helps Belveder continue its mission to provide vital support and hope to those most in need, especially children and vulnerable families affected by the conflict.
