A Leamington presenter, producer, author and content creator has been named a finalist in the Best Content Creator category at the UK Small Business Awards 2026.

Bia Rodrigues-Perry was selected from tens of thousands of entries nationwide, for the awards which recognise individuals and businesses making a significant impact through innovation, creativity and community engagement.

Bia is one of a small number of Midlands-based finalists shortlisted in this year's national awards.

Originally from Brazil and now based in Warwickshire, Bia has built an audience of more than 80,000 followers and subscribers, generating approximately 1.5 million monthly views through content that celebrates food, wellbeing, local businesses and community stories.

The nomination recognises not only the scale of her audience but also the positive impact of her work. Through her platforms, Bia has championed independent businesses, supported charitable causes, produced community campaigns and raised awareness of issues including mental health and menopause.

As creator and producer of Bia's Kitchen Show, Bia has developed a loyal following by sharing recipes, interviewing chefs and showcasing the people behind successful local businesses and community initiatives.

The show's first series focused on championing the independent food sector, highlighting restaurants, producers and entrepreneurs across the region. Its success led to the publication of her cookbook, A Culinary Journey of Gratitude, featuring personal recipes alongside contributions from guests featured on the programme. Profits from the book support Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind.

Food has always played a central role in Bia's work and personal journey.

What began as a way to unwind from the pressures of everyday life evolved into a platform for connection, conversation and community building. Today, that ethos remains at the heart of everything she creates.

Building on that mission, Bia recently launched Hot Flushes & Hot Foods, a new wellbeing-focused series exploring menopause through conversations with healthcare professionals, nutrition experts and guest contributors. The series aims to increase understanding, reduce stigma and provide practical support for women and their families.

Broadcaster Kirsty Leahy joins Bia for selected discussion segments, with further episodes already in production and scheduled for release throughout 2026.

Alongside her content creation work and her business, BIAS Marketing, Production & PR, Bia is currently producing a behind-the-scenes documentary following the Ladies First Charity Calendar project, which supports more than 30 charities across the region. Invited by Ladies First founder Tracey McAtamney to join the creative team, Bia is contributing as both a producer and participant while helping raise awareness and support for Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind.

Commenting on the nomination, Bia said: "When I started sharing recipes and stories, I never imagined it would lead to national recognition like this.

"This nomination means so much because it reflects the purpose behind everything I do. Whether supporting local businesses, promoting charitable causes or creating conversations that help people feel seen and understood, the focus has always been on making a positive difference. To be recognised alongside so many talented creators from across the UK is both humbling and incredibly rewarding."

Tracey McAtamney, Director of Ladies First Professional Development, said: "Bia's creativity, professionalism and ability to connect with people have made a significant impact on our organisation and the projects we support. She brings authenticity, energy and purpose to everything she does, creating content that is both engaging and meaningful. Her contribution to our charity initiatives has been invaluable."

The UK Small Business Awards will take place on 19 December 2026 at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders and creators from across the UK as the national winners are announced.
