Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum is temporarily closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".

This comes as a result of recent adverse weather conditions, which have impacted ongoing roof repair works at the Royal Pump Rooms.

The gallery has been closed as a "precautionary measure" to safeguard the artworks and ensure the safety of both visitors and staff.

In a post shared on Facebook, Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum wrote: "We understand how disappointing this will be, especially for those planning to visit during half-term."

It reassured that Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum will reopen shortly, with the new exhibition, A Different View: Women Artists at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum, beginning at the end of May.

"We'll provide further updates as soon as possible and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.

"Thank you for your continued support."
