Locals are being invited to find out more about plans for a new community stadium in Leamington.

The stadium will be located at Myton Green and is being proposed to be the new home ground for Leamington FC, and the relocation of the athletics facilities from Edmondscote to the same area.

Those interested in seeing the plans and chatting to the project team can attend a drop-in session at Myton Gardens Primary School, Fusiliers Way in Warwick on Thursday 14 May from 6.30pm to 8pm.

There will also be a representative from Warwickshire Property Development Group who will be able to share plans for the new local centre, including a shop and nursery.

The plans and computer-generated images will also be made available on the Council's website from the same day, with an online comment form open until Thursday 28 May 2026.

Cllr Jonathan Chilvers, Portfolio Holder for Resources, said: "These largescale projects can take time to develop as it's important that we get them right, but I'm delighted that we're now at the stage where we can show the community some updated visuals and plans that really bring these exciting projects to life.

"I'd encourage anyone interested in these new facilities to take a look at the plans and let us know any comments you have, so that we can ensure we are putting the community at the heart of these facilities."

The Community Stadium plans developed by Leamington FC and the District Council, would see the construction of a 4000-capacity football stadium with a 3G artificial pitch, conference facilities, café and community facilities on land adjacent to Fusiliers Way.

The relocation of the athletics facilities will ensure that the many clubs and schools that train on the existing facilities are able to use a modern, fit-forpurpose facility.

The proposed pavilion will also have space the local community can use. The current site of the athletics facilities will become part of a new public park.
