A number of electric vehicle chargers are set to be installed at a local pub.

Warwick District Council has approved Raw Charging's application for The Royal Horse on Poseidon Way.

Plans show three chargers will be installed, providing six charging bays.

The works would see the chargers built over eight spaces - meaning two are lost.

The application said: "The proposed development promotes the efficient use of land and the re-use of previously developed land in sustainable locations, given that the proposals are located within an existing surface level car park.

"The proposals are also minor in scale and sensitively located to ensure the character, quality and setting of the area is protected."

Signing off on the designs, a council report said: "The proposed charging units are modern and contemporary in their design and feature simplistic bollards for protection against vehicles.

"Within the context of the car park it is also not considered that these units would detract from the surrounding character."
