An eight-acre lavender farm in Bubbenhall with more than 12,000 hand-planted lavender plants has reopened for the summer.

Warwickshire Lavender Farm, on Watery Lane, began its life in 2016 as a retirement project for husband and wife Ian and Pippa Jamie and is now entering its fourth year of letting locals come and explore.

The couple first started planting at their Weston Under Wetherley home to give somewhere for beekeeper Ian to keep his bees.

But with the ground not entirely suitable, they found the field in Bubbenhall and got to work creating what is now Warwickshire Lavender Farm.

And having allowed locals to visit for the first time in 2022, the couple is once again welcoming guests having opened again on Friday 20 June 2025.

The site will open from 10am to 4.15pm, Wednesday to Sunday until Sunday 3 August.

"The Warwickshire Lavender Farm is now open," an update on social media said.

"Come soak up the sunshine and treat yourself to our deliciously refreshing Lavender Ice Cream – the taste of summer in every scoop!"

Ahead of the first opening in 2022, the couple planted three different varieties of lavender on site, as well as 1,000 rosemary plants and around 1,500 trees and hedges.

A 100-year-old barn was also converted into a small café for guests to buy coffee and cake, and now the new lavender ice cream.

Pippa also started making and selling a range of lavender oil products including candles, diffusers and soaps.

But all the profits from the site will be donated to charity, with just the farm's running costs covered.
