HS2 has announced several road closures are set to take place on a busy road near Leamington in October.

Sections of the B4453 Rugby Road in Cubbington will be closed over the first weekend of October, from Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 October, between 7am and 6pm.

Further closures are also planned from Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 October 18, between 7am and 6pm.

The closures are required to allow HS2 to complete landscaping works, install new verges, carry out road marking and signage, and conduct inspections for the new overbridge.

HS2 has also confirmed further works will take place in the new year to complete the final culvert and drainage works.

A fully signed diversion will be in place during the closures, with drivers advised to plan their journeys in advance as some delays are expected.
