Warwick District Council is relaunching its cost-of-living fund and has doubled the funding available to community groups for projects to help households who are struggling.

Applications open on Monday, 8 September for not-for-profit organisations, including parent-teacher associations, 'friends of' schools to apply for a grant of up to £3000 to support initiatives to assist people living in their communities in areas such as:

• Supplying food and other household essentials

• Assisting with access to services

• Helping with finances

• Supporting mental health and wellbeing

• School holiday activities or food provision during the school holidays

Last year, 20 organisations received funding, including Baby Basics in Warwick for their Safe to Sleep project, which provides Moses baskets, stands, mattresses, and bedding to vulnerable mothers and Action 21, which gives vouchers to people in need for everyday household items, redeemable at their Re-Useful Centre in Leamington.

Andrea Wyatt, Head of Customer and Digital Services, commented: "We are very pleased to have been able to extend and enhance this scheme.

"These grants can help organisations who are at the heart of our communities to reach out and target support to those who really need it. With twice as much money available, we hope that this will encourage as many eligible groups as possible to apply."

Applications for the Cost-of-Living Fund can be made from 8 September on the Warwick District Council website.

The deadline for applications is Friday, 17 October 2025.
