Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger) to work on a temp - perm basis in Warwick Salary: £30k plus £4k bonus This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in both purchase ledger and sales ledger functions while working in a supportive, fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the purchase and sales ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all related financial transactions. You will work closely with the finance team and assist in the smooth running of the accounting department. Key Responsibilities: Purchase Ledger: Processing supplier invoices and credit notes. Ensuring that all purchase invoices are correctly coded and matched to purchase orders. Preparing and processing payment runs in accordance with company payment terms. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies. Liaising with suppliers regarding invoice queries and disputes. Sales Ledger: Raising and issuing customer invoices in a timely manner. Maintaining accurate records of customer accounts and payment terms. Monitoring and managing customer payments, ensuring accounts are kept up to date. Assisting in the credit control process, chasing overdue payments and managing relationships with customers. Reconciling customer accounts and resolving any issues or discrepancies. General: Assist with month-end and year-end procedures. Assist with the preparation of financial reports. Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements: Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role, ideally with experience in both purchase ledger and sales ledger.
