Our client, a leading provider in the automotive industry, is seeking an Inspector for Laser Crack Detection to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in Leamington Spa and involves working on small batch work primarily for the motorsport and aerospace industries.

This role is a night shift during the week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting high-quality transmission components using laser crack detection technology
  • Interpreting technical drawings and geometric tolerances to ensure components meet the highest quality standards
  • Utilising manual measuring equipment and conducting table work to check parts against drawings and planning requirements
  • Programming on CMM and utilising Mitutoyo software
  • Collaborating with a small team to achieve a right-first-time philosophy
  • Supporting other manufacturing areas when required
  • Maintaining high levels of attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Meeting delivery deadlines and occasionally working additional hours as necessary
Job Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Experience in inspecting components from drawings and planning route cards
  • Proficiency with manual measuring equipment
  • Programming experience on CMM and familiarity with Mitutoyo software is advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to team support
  • Flexibility in supporting other areas of manufacturing when needed
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines
