Expleo is proud to be supporting a leading automotive manufacturer in delivering excellence across their production vehicle lines. We're currently looking for a Design Engineer to support the documentation, illustration, and digital modelling of engineering designs and processes.

Responsibilities typically include:

  • Analyse engineering specifications and convert them into precise technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD/CAM/CAE software. Utilise standard techniques to digitise, modify, and update designs for components, parts, and assemblies.
  • Configure and tailor CAD/CAM/CAE software to accurately represent complex or non-standard design concepts.
  • Create digital prototypes and perform design simulations to validate reliability and safety, while identifying opportunities to optimise engineering processes.
  • Collaborating with product/manufacturing process engineers by recommending changes to component designs based on outcomes of digital proto-typing and design simulations
  • Managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision, plus provide coaching and technical oversight to team members, reviewing their work to maintain consistency and excellence in design standards.
