Position: Head of Family LawFirm: Legal 500Location: Leamington SpaSalary: Competitive based on experience Are you an experienced Family Solicitor looking to take the next step in your leadership journey?We're working in partnership with a Legal 500 firm based in Leamington Spa to recruit a Head of Family Law to lead and develop a thriving department. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of a busy Legal Aid practice, combining hands-on legal work with departmental strategy and leadership.Role:- Providing strong, supportive leadership to a dedicated Family Law team- Overseeing departmental compliance, risk, and financial performance, including budgeting and KPI reporting- Ensuring AML and SARs compliance and keeping the team up to date with regulatory changes- Supervising and developing staff, including training and performance reviews- Representing the department in senior leadership meetings- You'll also manage your own caseload, focusing on complex financial remedy and private law children matters, maintaining a high standard of client care, and continuing to grow the department's profile and reputation.Ideal Candidate: - At least 5 years' PQE in Family Law, including experience in complex cases- Membership of an accredited Legal Aid supervision panel (Family Law, Family Law Advanced, Children's Panel or Resolution Specialist)- A track record of effective team leadership and financial oversight- Strong knowledge of compliance, AML regulations, and SRA rules- Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills- A Solicitor/Mediator qualification is desirable, but not essential.Benefits:- Hybrid/flexible working options to support work-life balance- A supportive culture with a strong commitment to professional development- An opportunity to shape strategy, make real impact, and take your leadership to the next levelHow to apply:If you are interested in this role, send your CV today!
